Saakar stands for self-sufficiency and growth. Founded by a dedicated group of 11th-grade students, now in 12th grade in Kolkata, Saakar started as a student-run non-profit focused on financial literacy. Today, we have expanded our mission to include tailored workshops in financial literacy, health and hygiene, and business establishment. We are driven by a commitment to empower individuals and communities, particularly underprivileged ones, with practical, hands-on education that fosters resilience and sustainable growth. Our programs incorporate engaging activities, such as worksheets and practical exercises, to reinforce learning and encourage active participation.
